RÀMICI
It’s the cellar reserve. The name comes from the Alviano land in Ràmici, Umbria. It is obtained from 100% Ciliegiolo di Narni IGT grapes from a vineyard planted in Alviano. The soil, located at 190 meters above sea level, is sandy in type.
The vineyards are on average 35 years old and are raised with a spurred cordon with a yield between 300 and 400 grams per plant.
Grapes are harvested by hand, when the maturation of grapes and aromas have reached the optimal level and one is picked in 20 kg. boxes. Fermentation is spontaneous and lasts about 20 days.
After racking Ràmici is aged in tonneau at controlled temperature for about 12 months, then it is racked in 20 hl French oak casks and kept at controlled temperature never higher than 25° C for other 12 months.
After bottling, the wine rests in our cellar for another 8/12 months. The annual production is 2,500 / 3,000 bottles.
