05035 GRECHETTO UMBRIA IGT
05035 is our entry white. The name derives from the Narni postal code and we produce 2500/3000 bottles per year.
It is obtained from 80% Grechetto and 20% Trebbiano Spoletino grapes from a vineyard planted in San Gemini, Colle Murello. The soils are located at 230 meters above sea level, and are of a medium-textured calcareous clayey type.
Vineyards are between 5 and 10 years old, trained by guyot with a yield between 700 and 800 grams per plant. Grapes are harvested by hand in 20 kg. crates. Fermentation is spontaneous and lasts about 30 days.
After racking 05035 Bianco ages in stainless steel tanks on its fine deposits at controlled temperature for about 6 months. After bottling the wine remains in our cellars for another 1-2 months. The annual production varies from 3000/4000 bottles.
