COLLEOZIO
Colleozio is the selection of Grechetto di Todi (clone G5) and Grechetto di Orvieto (clone G109) grapes of the winery. The name derives from the place name of the vineyard which is located in the commune of San Gemini.
The wine is produced with 100% Grechetto grapes. Soils are located at 290 meters above sea level and are clayey-calcareous. Vineyards have an average of 10-15 years of age and are trained with guyot with a yield between 600 and 800 grams per plant.
Grapes are harvested by hand in 20 kg. boxes.
Fermentation is spontaneous and lasts about 30 days. After racking Colleozio is aged in stainless steel on its fine deposits at controlled temperature for about 6 months. After bottling the wine remains in our cellars for another 3/5 months. The production varies from 10.000/13.000 bottles.
